Amazing Race- Week 5
This week our teams raced to the Grand Canyon, Arizona, in search of beautiful vistas and sweeping landscapes. They were tasked with capturing the sunset using nothing more than a pinhole camera that they had to make with a shoebox. Team Road Trip was built for this typical road trip destination’s task, and produced gallery quality photos that the most discerning of art collectors would pay millions of dollars for. Not wanting to be outdone, Team Africa crept as close to the edge of the canyon as possible to get the money shot. They crept a little too close, however, as their camera fell from the edge and landed at the bottom.
Team Africa couldn’t complete this task and were eliminated!
Only three teams remain! Team Road Trip, Team Italy and Team Mexico- who will win the Amazing Race?
Hey readers! We hope you’re enjoying the books we’ve selected for the Amazing Race! Should you wish to vote to shelter, save or eliminate one of the teams, you can do so here:
Don’t forget that we have a final prize at the end of the Race for the person who rates and comments on the books they’ve read in Bibliocommons. Need help navigating Bibliocommons? Come see us at one of the Info Desks. We will help you sort things out.
Welcome to the Amazing Race Book Club Edition! The Race begins June 30th and runs until August 23rd.
There are eight teams, but only one can win.
How to participate:
Visit us at the Children’s Desk to register. You will need a Bibliocommons Account in order to take part. Don’t have an Account ? We can help you set one up at the Children’s Desk. Once you’ve registered, visit the Amazing Race book shelf (Look for the sign. You can’t miss it!) and select one of sixteen titles. As soon as you begin reading, you can begin voting for the best and worst teams. Each week we will eliminate one team based on votes. You can vote as many times as you like, and feel free to re-vote if you “save” a team one week and want to “eliminate” it the next.
How to win prizes:
Log in to your Bibliocommons Account and rate and review books you’ve read. You can even email book reviews to the firstname.lastname@example.org to have posted on this blog!
